The Montego Bay airport—Sangster International Airport (MBJ)—is capable of processing over nine million passengers every year and is the most popular airport for tourists arriving on the northern coast of Jamaica. It can handle up to 500 arriving passengers per hour.
You may arrive at the airport at the same times as a number of other flights or be the only international flight arriving. The wait time for getting through Immigration and Customs depends on the number of flights landing at the same time as your flight. Thus, your wait at Immigration can be lengthy or surprisingly short.
Why you need to book Club Mobay in Jamaica is to avoid the potential long wait at Immigration that keeps you from digging your toes in the sand and starting your vacation as soon as possible. When you are planning an international trip, this is one of the helpful tips for travel to Jamaica that ensures a positive arrival experience.
What is Club Mobay?

What is Club Mobay (Mobay is short for MOntego BAY)? Club Mobay is a VIP concierge service designed to help you move past potential lines either upon your arrival in or your departure from Jamaica.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your personalized Club Mobay representative shortly after deplaning. They will be holding a sign with your name clearly visible.
Your representative warmly greets you and begins your fast track process through Immigration to the VIP Lounge. You might find the name of the service also referred to as Club Mobay VIP Meet and Greet Service or Jamaica Fast Track Immigration Service or Montego Bay Airport Fast Track.
The service is designed to expedite the process through Immigration, Customs, retrieving your luggage, and meeting up with your transportation to your resort, villa, or hotel.
Arrivals at the Sangster International Airport: Immigration

When you sign up for the Montego Bay Airport Fast Track service—aka Club Mobay—be prepared to enjoy Jamaican hospitality AND an express pass through the airport. Your guide will make sure you have filled out the C5 Form to Enter Jamaica and then direct you to use the kiosks in Immigration before joining the dedicated Club Mobay Priority Lane to go through Immigration and then Customs.
Do You Go Through Customs Faster with Club Mobay?
Not only does Club Mobay expedite your time getting through Immigration, but it also speeds the process through Customs as well. Your agent will escort you through the dedicated line for Club Mobay guests at Customs as well.
You will typically use the “Nothing to Declare” line. Though the line generally moves quite quickly, if there are a lot of passengers arriving at the same time, the Customs line can be long.
Baggage Claim
Baggage Claim is the next step. Your agent may help you locate your luggage, however, please note that the Club Mobay service does not speed up the process for retrieving your checked luggage. Your luggage will arrive at the same time as everyone else’s luggage from your flight. Your guide will wait with you and then walk with you to the Club Mobay Arrivals Lounge.
The Arrivals Lounge
The Arrivals lounge is a quiet haven away from the hustle and bustle of the airport and tourists. Leave your luggage with an attendant at the lounge and relax in the comfort of the lounge. Enjoy the VIP perks of snacks, drinks, comfortable seating, WiFI, and restroom facilities.
Does Club Mobay also Take You to Your Hotel?
No. You will need to make your own arrangements for travel to your hotel, villa, or resort. Once you arrive at the Club Mobay Arrivals Lounge, your guide will ask for the information pertaining to your transportation, and then they will either direct you to the waiting shuttle bus or try to locate your driver outside the airport entrance.
TIP * Many resorts provide FREE transportation to their location by bus. You will need to check. However, depending on the distance of your resort from the airport, this service can take hours. Chris and I have found that booking a transfer from the airport to our resort through VIATOR is worth the additional expense.
Is it ALWAYS Worth it to Book Club Mobay?
Not always. On our first trip to Montego Bay in Jamaica in 2024, we used the Club Mobay arrivals service; Chris and I looked at the long line of tourists waiting to get through Immigration and were grateful that our guide fast tracked us through in a matter of minutes. On our recent visit in 2025, we booked the Club Mobay arrivals service again. We could have gotten through on our own just as quickly. It all depends on how many planes are arriving at the same time.
Can You Book Both the Arrival and Departure Packages Individually?
A bonus to booking with Club Mobay is that you can book the arrival and departure packages separately. This means that you can select one service without being obligated to both options.
Departures with Club Mobay
